On March 10, 2023, the Center for Strategic research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, within the framework of the chairmanship of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Fifth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of States of Central Asia, is holding an international conference on the topic «Tajikistan — Central Asia: a policy of good neighborliness, mutual support, eternal friendship and joint development.» The conference will be attended by heads and experts of analytical Centers of Central Asian countries, representatives of domestic and foreign medias.
The conference will be open the Director of the Center for Strategic research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, doctor of Philosophic science, Professor, Usmonzoda Khayriddin Usmon. Then will be followed by opening speeches the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sodik Imomi, the Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs, Public Associations and Information of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Fattohzoda Saidmurod Samad and the Regional Representative of the Foundation named after. Konrad Adenauer on Central Asia Ronny Heine.
At the plenary session of the conference will be speak the following speakers: Director of the Center for Strategic research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Usmonzoda Khayriddin; Director of the International Institute of Central Asia Norov Vladimir; Director of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic research under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tukumov Yerkin; Director of the National Institute for Strategic research under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Kanatbek Aziz; Director of the Center for Strategic research of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Shiri Shiriev and the First Deputy Director of the Institute for Strategic and interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nematov Akramjon.
At the framework of the conference, will be held two sessions — “The policy of good neighborliness of the states of Central Asia as an important factor in ensuring stability and sustainable development in the context of fundamental changes in the system of international relations” and “Trade-economic cooperation of the states of Central Asia: the state, problems and prospects for joint development”. Reports on these topics will be made by heads and experts of analytical centers of the Central Asian states.
The conference will analyze the role of the countries of Central Asia in ensuring regional and international security and stability, the global initiatives of the Republic of Tajikistan and other countries of the region in this direction. At the same time, will be discuss the policy of good neighborliness, the state and prospects of trade-economic cooperation of the countries of Central Asia as an important factor in ensuring stability and sustainable development in the face of fundamental changes in the system of international relations.
Expressing their point of view on the basis of the presented reports, the participants of the international conference will discuss the state and prospects for further development of cooperation between the states of Central Asia, as well as coordination of actions and activities for the exchange of information and mutual support, joint countering terrorism and extremism in the region, strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation in the political and economic spheres, in the field of security, economy and trade, effective implementation of the economic, transit and transport potential, healthcare, culture, education and tourism of the states of the region.
